Office 365 Using Contact in Exchange
• Exchange serves as the engine for managing contacts, email, calendar,
and tasks
• Access to Exchange is available through both the browser and the
Outlook desktop application
• The functionality of Exchange is mostly the same on both platforms,
but there are some differences
• The chapter will cover two topics: "Parts of people (contacts) in OWA"
and "Parts of contacts in Outlook"

the action bar will update accordingly

people, today's calendar events, favorites,
and suggested contacts for follow-up
• Within the main window, users have the
ability to pin any of these elements to their
page for quick access and convenience
• By clicking on "Pin this view," users can
anchor specific content within the main
window, ensuring its persistent visibility
and easy accessibility on their page

3. Search
• The third element is the search
box, located within the interface
• Users can utilize this search box to
search for people, including
contacts, rooms, equipment, or
Office 365 Groups
• The search functionality allows for
finding specific individuals or
resources within the system,
catering to various search needs
and facilitating efficient navigation
and communication

4. Left navigation
• The fourth element is the left navigation, which provides various
options for navigation
• Within the left navigation, you can access different sections such
as Featured people, Your contacts, Directory, and Groups
• The left navigation is primarily managed by the system, except
for the Favorites section
• You have the ability to manage your favorites by either clicking
on "Edit Favorites" in the Action Bar when nothing is selected or
by clicking on "Add favorites" on the home page or Favorites
page
• In the left navigation, you can view, manage, and create new
contacts.
• The majority of this section is controlled by your administrator.
When new people are added or removed from your
organization's Office 365, they will appear or disappear from this
section
• "All Contacts" in this section refers to organizational contacts
that are used by the entire organization. If you require additions
to be made, you need to reach out to your administrator
• Additionally, this section displays the Office 365 Groups that you
are a member of, providing access to collaborate within those
groups

5. Outlook apps
• The fifth element is the Outlook apps bar, located at the top of the interface
• This bar consists of buttons that allow you to easily switch between different
Outlook applications, including mail, calendar, people (contacts), and tasks
• The buttons provide a convenient way to navigate and toggle between these
different functionalities within Outlook
• By clicking on the respective app button, users can seamlessly transition and
access the specific Outlook application they need, whether it's for managing
emails, scheduling events, managing contacts, or handling tasks
