Brief Description – Inflammation of the pancreas is pancreatitis. Pain and swelling are a
result of inflammation. It may feel like stomach discomfort that radiates to your back if you
have pancreatitis. Pancreatic inflammation is referred to as pancreatitis. A long, flat gland
called the pancreas is located in the upper belly, nestled beneath the stomach. The pancreas
creates hormones that assist control how your body consumes glucose (sugar) and enzymes
that aid in digesting.
Target Organs
Target Organs - Damage to the pancreatic tissue and neighboring organs may result from
the inflammation that occurs with pancreatitis. Pancreatitis can affect the digestive tract,
liver, gallbladder, and pancreas. hormone system

Sympotms
Symptoms - The production of digestive enzymes and hormones that
control blood sugar levels occurs in the pancreas, a vital organ. Abdominal

Causes
Causes - There are a lot of possible causes of pancreatitis, including
alcohol use, trauma, infections, medications, high blood triglyceride
levels, genetic factors, and gallstones, which can obstruct the
pancreatic duct and result in inflammation. Gallstones are the most
typical cause of pancreatitis
Cure/Treatment
Cure/Treatment - The severity of the illness and the underlying cause
will determine the pancreatitis treatment. The major objectives of
treatment are typically to reduce symptoms, avoid complications,
and promote pancreatic healing. and here are a few popular forms of
treatment: hospitalization, medication, surgery, and lifestyle
modifications.
PEPTIC ULCER

A peptic ulcer is an open sore or raw area in the lining of the

stomach or intestine. There are two types of peptic ulcers:
Gastric ulcer -- occurs in the stomach. Duodenal ulcer --
occurs in the first part of the small intestine.
TARGET ORGANS

The target organs affected by peptic ulcers include the stomach,

small intestine, and esophagus.

Esophagus
Stomach Small
Intestine
SYMPTOMS
The most common peptic ulcer symptom is burning stomach pain.
Stomach acid makes the pain worse, as does having an empty
stomach. The pain can often be relieved by eating certain foods that
buffer stomach acid or by taking an acid-reducing medication, but
then it may come back.
CAUSES
The main causes of peptic ulcers are infection with the
bacterium Helicobacter pylori and prolonged use of non-
steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, such as aspirin and
ibuprofen.
CURE/ TREATMENTS

The most common treatment option for peptic ulcers involves a

combination of antibiotics and proton pump inhibitors, which work
to eradicate the bacteria causing the ulcer and reduce stomach acid
production, respectively.
