Introduction
● We live in a world full of digital transformation. Every business that we know of is
adapting new technologies and why not? It makes our work so much easier after all.

● Same is the case is in the education sector where attendance systems are no more
manually handled. Not only that we can go a step even higher to that. How?

● With the help of Machine Learning. Thanks to it, we can now take the online
attendance system in an even more easier and efficient way by facial recognition.

● So here I plot in front of you a system that allows to take attendance in the easiest
way ever i.e., Face Recognition Attendance System.
Problem Statement
● As have interacted with the Head of the Department, there is no online attendance
system with facial recognition for the teachers for the various meetings and
gatherings of our Department. So to shoot this problem down we need a system that
not only get rids of any sort of attendance paperwork but also takes the attendance
online is the most efficient and advanced way possible, making it easy to conduct
meeting without the worries of attendance.

● All these requirements are set to be fulfilled in my project which is Face Recognition
Attendance System, where the admin can create meeting with the required faculties
and their attendance can be ensured using facial recognition.
Purpose And Scope
PURPOSE
● The method that is being used currently for attendance taking is very time
consuming, inefficient and a tedious job to do.
● So, the main purpose of this project is to make the attendance marking and
management system efficient, time saving, simple and easy.

SCOPE
● Scope of the project is to able to take attendance of the CSE teachers in any
meetings and gatherings of the CSE department conducted by the HOD.
● The head can create a meeting, add teachers required and manage their attendance
taken through facial recognition.
● The teachers on the other hand will only be able to view their attendance.

● I will use waterfall model for the
development of my project.
