ANDAMAN AND NICOBAR ISLAND

The Andaman and Nicobar Islands is a union territory of India consisting of 571
islands, of which 37 are inhabited, at the junction of the Bay of Bengal and the
Andaman Sea.[3] The territory is about 150 km (93 mi) north of Aceh in
Indonesia and separated from Thailand and Myanmar by the Andaman Sea.

Fauna

simple loincloth made of bark
or leaves, which is tied

the tribe also wear a skirt
made of bark, leaves, or grass.
JARAWA TRIBE
The Jarawa tribe is another
indigenous tribe found in the
Andaman Islands. - The
traditional costume of the
Jarawa tribe consists of a
loincloth for men, which is tied
around the waist and extends
down to the knees. - Women
wear a skirt made of leaves or
bark, along with a headband
made of leaves
NICOBARESE TRIBE

The Nicobarese tribe is the largest


indigenous tribe in the Nicobar
Islands. - The traditional costume of
the Nicobarese tribe is colorful and
vibrant. - Men wear a loincloth
made of cloth, which is tied around
the waist. They also wear a
sleeveless shirt made of cloth. -
Women wear a long, wrap-around
skirt called a "sarong" and a blouse
made of cloth. They also adorn
themselves with various accessories
such as necklaces and bracelets.
SHOMPEN TRIBE
The Shompen tribe is one of
the oldest indigenous tribes in
the Andaman and Nicobar
Islands. - The traditional
costume of the Shompen
tribe includes a loincloth
made of bark or leaves, which
is tied around the waist. -

bark or leaves, along with a
headband made of leaves.
