Read the two short texts below. When you finish reading the texts, write three
sentences about each text using the grammar and vocabulary from today's
lesson.
'In my city, you don't need to own a car because there is lots of public
transport. If I want to take public transport to work, there are three
different possibilities — the bus, the train, or the metro. I usually take the
bus to work. First, I walk to the bus stop, because it's not possible to flag
down a bus in the street. You need to pay the fare when you get on the bus.
When you want to get off, you don't need to ask the driver to stop, because
they stop at every bus stop.'

'In my town, it's not possible to drive to the city centre. Cars are not
allowed there, only public transport. If you want to go to the city centre,
you need to take a trolleybus. It's not possible to pay by cash on the
trolleybus. You need to buy a ticket from a ticket machine before you get
on, or it's possible to buy a transit card from the local shops. If you want
to know when the trolleybus will arrive, it's possible to check the
timetable. There is a timetable in every bus stop.'
