Rimi Baltics
Rimi Baltic, (based in Riga, Latvia) is a major retailer in the Baltic
states. Rimi Baltic has 291 retail stores in Estonia (88 stores), Latvia
(132 stores), and Lithuania (71 stores), as well as distribution centres
in each country. The stores have different profiles, depending on a
range of products and sizes: Rimi Express, Rimi Mini, Rimi Super,
and Rimi hyper.

Maxima Group (Ltd) is a Lithuanian group of retail chain companies
operating in Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Poland and Bulgaria. Maxima
Group is the largest Lithuanian capital company and the largest
employer in the Baltics. Maxima also has different profiles,
depending on a range of products and sizes: Maxima X, Maxima XX,
Maxima XXX, Maxima Express and Barbora.

Maxima started their business by opening three stores in Lithuania, at
the end of 2011 they bought the Poland company Aldik with 24
stores.

Conclusion
In conclusion, Maxima and Rimi are two big grocery chains in the
Baltic States that offer similar goods and services. Both stores sell a
wide range of goods at prices that are comparable to each other. This
makes them popular choices for customers. But the two also have
differences, such as shop structure, customer service, and loyalty
programmes. It's clear that Maxima and Rimi will continue to be big
players in the Baltic food market, giving customers cheap and easy
shopping choices.
