OVERVIEW
 Citizenship training is an effective strategy to enhance the student's
social responsibility and commitment to the development of their
communities and to develop the ability to uphold the law and order
as they assume active participations in the community activities.

 This module develops the character of the students to become more


mindful to the responsibilities, rights, and their roles in the
society.

 The suggested activities in this module of work can be adapted and


resources sourced to support student needs and the local context.

C. Article V: Duties and Obligations of Citizen

Section 1. It shall be the duty of the citizen to be loyal to the Republic and to
honor the Philippine flag, to defend the State and contribute to its development and
welfare, to uphold the Constitution and obey the laws, and to cooperate with the
duly constituted authorities in the attainment and preservation of a just and orderly
society.
Section 2. The rights of the individual impose upon him the correlative duty to
exercise them responsibly and with due regard for the rights of others.
Section 3. It shall be the duty of every citizen to engage in gainful work to assure
himself and his family a life worthy of human dignity.
Section 4. It shall be the obligation of every citizen qualified to vote to register and
cast his vote.

• A photo essayESSAY
is a set of photographs selected to tell a story or make the viewer feel a certain
emotion.
• Using your cellphone or camera, take a picture that represents each virtue.
• One sub values for every concept, one (1) photo for one (1) sub virtue.
• The student should be seen in every photo.
• For every photo, put a caption and explain the connection between the photos and your
chosen sub value.
• Explain how it can serve as a good example for the youth in your community.
Code of Discipline
The National Service Training Program Office at the Tarlac State
University plays a vital role in promoting Citizenship Training
among its students to enhance their social responsibility and
commitment to the development of their communities.
This Code of Discipline contains rules and regulations,
general policies that will serve as a guide for the Personal and
Behavioral Development of the students in different aspects such
as Home, School, Community and During Disaster.

Students are expected to:


 Respect each other’s religions and beliefs.
 Good Manners and Right Conduct
 Help with Household Chores
 Treat People and their property with Respect
 Practice Proper Hygiene

 All students are required to Attend and Respect the Flag Raising
Ceremony every Tuesday.
 Students are REQUIRED to Attend and actively participate in every
Class, Programs, Activities and Trainings.
 NSTP students are required to practice proper behavior inside and
outside the campus premises.
 Always greet and pay respect to all Key Officials, Faculty, Staff and
Personnels.
 ALL NSTP STUDENTS are required to wear the proper or designated
uniform.
 All Students are required to follow the Classroom Rules set by the
NSTP Trainer.
 Always wear a School ID or Present Certificate of Registration (COR)
in (Absence of School ID).
 The use of phones during class hours is STRICTLY PROHIBITED.
 Any Kind of Bullying is unacceptable and will not be tolerated and
subject to disciplinary action.

 Students should help our waste management by doing


3R’S (Reduce, Re-use and Recycle).
 Participate or attend outreach program conducted by
the NSTP Office or any Volunteer Group.
 Students are encouraged to join Volunteer works.
 By having healthy community, Students should learn
the importance of Environmental Protection
 Maintaining a Community Garden
 Participate in Local and National Elections

 All NSTP students, regardless of what course are
encouraged to join volunteer groups and Rescue Teams.
 Students are expected to have Basic Survival Training
conducted by the University for the welfare of their families
and other people.
 Become familiar for emergency hotlines for emergency
information regarding closest evacuation routes and access
to water, food and shelter as well as information on other
health and human services available across the (city or state)
 Assemble a disaster supply kit for at home, at work, at
school and in your vehicle.
 Discuss and practice how to turn off electricity, water,
heating, cooling systems and gas.
 Improvised Equipment that can be use during Disaster is
encouraged for the students.
ACTIVITY 2: Sharing is Caring
• Group Activity per Squad
• Based on the lesson Code of Discipline at Home, School, Community and during Disaster.
• The student’s will share their personal experiences on how they perform their social
responsibility pertaining to the lesson as well as their good and bad experiences from Home,
School, Community and during Disaster.
• Explain how it can serve as a guide for their personal and behavioral development that
serves as their reflection to the lesson.

million families by 2024”. A straightforward
line that speaks a thousand depths. Behind it is
the complexity of how to tackle such a big

ACTIVITY 3: I heart U
• Blood Donation Campaign
• Encouraged students to donate blood to Red Cross. If they donate blood, it will be given to
someone who needs it and will brings us closer to society we want to live in.
• Note:
• Only for those students who are willing to donate their blood and in good general health and
feeling well, must weight 110 lbs (50 kg), pulse rate between 60-100 beats/min. with regular
rhythm, blood pressure between 90 and 160 systolic.
