IDEA-8: WINDMILL WATER PUMP

PROBLEM:
• More than half the world's rural population does not have an approach to the
clean water supply.
• Due to limited availability of power supplies or resources some alternate
form of energy has to be used to supply water from the source to a point of
consumption.
SOLUTION:
• Wind energy is an important source of renewable energy that can be used
for pumping water in remote locations.
• Water pump for agriculture without any use of electricity.
• A windmill is used for pumping water, either as a source of freshwater or
wells.
• Not only in agriculture it can also be used in industries, pumping water, Prototype link:
drainage pumping, oil extraction from seeds, and machining.

• By keeping solar panels to rotate the wind mill we can pump easily where no
power consumption is required to pump the water.
