Monitor
A monitor is an electronic
output device that is also
known as a video display
terminal (VDT) or a video
display unit (VDU). It is
used to display images, text,
video, and graphics
information generated by a
connected computer via a
computer's video card.
CPU
The CPU is the brain of a
computer, containing all the
circuitry needed to process
input, store data, and output
results. The CPU is
constantly following
instructions of computer
programs that tell it which
data to process and how to
process it. Without a CPU,
we could not run programs
on a computer.
Keyboard
A keyboard contains many
mechanical switches or
push-buttons called "keys".
When one of these is
pushed, an electrical circuit
is closed, and the keyboard
sends a signal to the
computer that tells it what
letter, number, or symbol it
would like to be shown on
the screen.
Mouse
A mouse is a small device that
a computer user pushes across
a desk surface in order to
point to a place on a display
screen and to select one or
more actions to take from that
position. The mouse first
became a widely used
computer tool when Apple
Computer made it a standard
part of the Apple Macintosh.
Printer
It contains a paper feed
assembly, ink cartridge, print
head, stabilizer bar, and belt.
It stores the ink in cartridges,
and uses separate cartridge
to print several types of color
documents. These colors are
a combination of cyan,
magenta, yellow, and black
color.
