Introduction
• Electric Fan is one of basic needs in
daily life now-a-days.
• Winding is one of the main processes
in for Electric Fans manufacturing.
• Winding machines are used in Fans
industry.
• Most of the industry in our country use
manual winding machines.
• Some companies use Automatic
winding machines.
Problem Statement
• Formerly Single phase motors were used.
• To increase starting torque 2-phase motors are
introduced.
• Less efficient manual machines.
• High cost of labor.
• High consumption of energy.
• More machines and more labor are needed to
increase production.
• Existing Automatic machines are costly.
• Maintenance of these machines is costly.
Objectives
• The objective of this project is to create cost-effective
automatic winding machines that have available spare parts
within the country.
• This machine will significantly boost production rates, thereby
impacting the manufacturing of electric fans.
• Small scale manufacturers can easily purchase this machine.
• Maintenance of this machine is easy because we use spare parts
that is available
Literature Review
• CNC winding machines are used industry for
automatic winding.
• Improvement in manual winding machines[1]
• Gorman Star Winding machines [2]
• Clartech ceiling fan winding machines [3]
• Coil winding technology [4]
• Design of single phase motor [5]
• 2-phase motors / “Dual wound”[5] are in fans.
