• To pay membership fee and dues to the Philippine Dental
Association and the chapter • To abide by the policies of the chapter. • Obey legal orders and respect duly constituted authorities of the Philippine Dental Association and the chapter Members
• To follow the provisions of the chapter’s constitution and by-
laws and that of the PDA and the dental law • To elect officers of the chapter during the Annual General Membership and vote in a referendum • To attend scheduled activities of the chapter Elected Officers: President • Shall preside all the meetings of the chapter and the Executive members of the Board • Act as the Chief Delegate to the House of Delegates • Official representative of the chapter in its contact with the government agencies, civic, health, business, religious and other professional organizations for the purpose of advancing the objectives of the chapter President • To appoint chairman of various working, standing and special committee of the chapter • To appoint members of the COMELEC and chairman of the Council of Presidents • To appoint members to the appointive positions. President • To appoint or nominate a member of the Council of Presidents or an elected officer to be the Official Delegate to the House of Delegates who will serve for 3 consecutive years • To present Annual Report before the members during the Annual General Membership Assembly • To perform such other duties as may be provided in the Constitution and By-Laws The President-Elect • He shall succeed the incumbent president during the next administrative year • Assumes position as General Chairman of the chapter’s Annual General Membership Assembly • Shall assist the president when required Executive Vice President • Succeeds the President when the position becomes vacant • Presides meeting of the chapter and the Executive Members of the Board if the President cannot attend due to unavoidable circumstances • Accepts, assignments or appointments delegated to him by the President The Vice President for Pasig, Pateros and Taguig • Assist the President in their respective city or municipality in carrying out the programs and projects of the chapter • Succeeds the Executive Vice-President when the position becomes vacant provided he got the highest votes among the three (3) Vice Presidents • Serve as area coordinator for the members in their respective city or municipality • May represent the President and the chapter in his area in any local health and socio-civic undertakings The Treasurer • Serve as the custodian of all monies, securities, funds and financial records of the chapter • Disburse funds according to the discretion and disposition of the President and the Board • Prepare and submit financial statement to the board during board meeting The Treasurer • Prepare and submit financial report to the members during the Annual General Membership Assembly • Make deposits and withdrawals in a reputable bank chosen by the Board • At the beginning of term, shall consult the President for budget allocation / appropriation for each standing and special committee subject to the approval of the Board The Auditor • Shall examine the financial transactions of the treasurer in relation to bank deposits and withdrawals • Shall audit the bank resolution, checkbooks, passbooks (savings and time deposits), cash on hand, Books of Accounts, Official Receipts, Cash Vouchers and other financial documents • Must have a parallel recording of the treasurer’s report to assure the Board of the correctness and accuracy of the financial statement The Public Relations Office (P.R.O.) • Shall take charge of the public information and promotional activities of the chapter through the tri-media and social media for the effective implementations of its programs and projects The Twelve (12) Board of Directors • Shall participate in board discussion and deliberations during board meetings • Shall be appointed chair persons to the different committees of the chapter • Perform such other functions delegated to them by the President Appointed Officers: The Secretary • Acts as custodian of all business records of the association • Notify the officers of a meeting set by the President • Take down notes during board meeting • Prepare the minutes of the previous meeting and furnish copies to the officers • Coordinates all the activities of the different committee • Shall perform such other duties assigned to her / him The Assistants • The Assistant Secretaries, Assistant Treasurer/s, Assistant Auditor/s shall help and assist the Secretary, Treasurer and Auditor respectively in the performance of their duties • Perform functions in an acting capacity in the absence of the lead officer • Other assistants in the different committees shall perform duties in assisting the chairpersons
