INTRODUCTION

In Iloilo Science and Technology University Main Campus, many equipment is

being borrowed at the Physical Education (PE) Office for the laboratory sessions
and practical exams of the students in each day. Students sometimes directly get the
equipment (for example: Basketball, Volleyball, Nets, Badminton, etc.) without
listing their respective names or leaving their ID’s on the staff in charge of keeping
the equipment which ends to non-return, loss and damaged of the borrowed
equipment.

Losing of equipment will lead to shortage and the ones who are affected the most
are the teachers and the students. Decrease of equipment can cause limited
performance and prolong time of practical and laboratory. It will be a big cost in
terms of funds if the university will buy again a new set of sport equipment.

Due to this problem, the researchers propose to develop a system as a replacement

to the manual operation of monitoring and borrowing in the PE Department. All the
equipment including its details will be stored in database.

SYSTEM
1. CLOUD COMPUTING
Cloud computing is the delivery of computing services over the internet, such as storage, infrastructure,
applications, and more. It has many benefits, such as lower costs, faster innovation, and scalability. There are
different types of cloud computing, such as public, private, and hybrid clouds, and different service models, such
as IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.

"Sports Equipment Management System using RFID," can store various components and data in cloud
computing, including:
• RFID Data
• Equipment Information
• User Profiles
• Transaction Records
• Notifications

By storing these elements in the cloud, it enable efficient data management, real-time updates, and accessibility
from different locations. Storing data in the cloud allows easy retrieval and updates from various locations, and it
can enhance the overall efficiency of the system. Additionally, cloud services often provide security features that
can help protect sensitive information, such as RFID data related to sports equipment.

2. AUGMENTED REALITY
Augmented reality (AR) is a relatively new technology that’s gained increasing popularity
in recent years. It enables users to interact with digital content in a physical environment in
real-time, offering an enhanced experience. This technology has the potential to
revolutionize many industries, from entertainment to education, by providing a more
realistic way to interact with digital content.

- Using AR to overlay real-time data onto the user's view. For example, when users point
their device at sports equipment, AR can display information such as equipment details
and equipment availability.

- Using AR to visually represent the sports equipment in real-world surroundings.

- Enable users to interact with the system through AR controls. Users can perform actions
like checking equipment and viewing inventory details.
Reason for inclusion of Cloud Computing and Augmented Reality:

• To store data from RFID tags attached to sports equipment, including

unique identifiers and relevant details.
• To maintain a centralized inventory of sports equipment, including details
such as type, condition, and availability.
• Securely store user login credentials and access permissions.
• Augmented reality provides a more immersive and dynamic experience,
drawing users' attention and encouraging deeper involvement with the
system.

Conclusion
In conclusion, incorporating future technologies such as cloud computing and augmented reality
into sports equipment management is a progressive approach to efficiency and user engagement.
Through cloud computing, these technologies not only improve data storage, accessibility, and
security, but also bring immersive, real-world interactions with sports equipment via augmented
reality. In the growing world of sports equipment administration, the convergence of these
developing technologies not only accelerates management processes but also offers up new
opportunities for individualized, dynamic user experiences.
