All of these words can be verbs (actions)...

● She is lifting.
● They are fighting.
● She is listening to music.

All of these words can be verbs (actions)...They can also be nouns.

● They are playing music. Playing music is how they make money.
● She is using her phone. She loves using her phone in the park.
● She is lifting.
● They are fighting. Fighting and lifting are my grandma's
hobbies.
● She is listening to music. Your grandma relaxes by listening to music.
Doing...
All of these words can be verbs (actions)...They can also be nouns.

By using verb-ing words as nouns, we make gerunds.
