INTRODUCTION
• This report outlines the development of a Project Management Dashboard for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises
(SMEs). The project's objective was to enhance project management practices within an SME, ultimately improving
project efficiency and outcomes.

• The report begins with an introduction highlighting the significance of effective project management in SMEs and
outlines the report's structure. It proceeds with a comprehensive organization profile, providing insights into the SME's
history, size, industry, and current project management practices.

• The core of the report focuses on the development of the Project Management Dashboard. It elaborates on the design
process, features, functionalities, and integration with existing systems. The dashboard's role in addressing identified
challenges is emphasized.
• The report highlights the project's substantial contribution to the organization, including improved project management
practices, efficiency gains, and cost savings. Feedback from team members and stakeholders underscores the

OBJECTIVE OF THE REPORT
• This report aims to provide a comprehensive account of the development of a Project Management
Dashboard tailored for SMEs. The objectives of this report include:

• Identification of Existing Challenges: An analysis of the organization's current project management


practices will be presented, highlighting challenges and inefficiencies.

• Dashboard Features and Functionalities: The report will describe the features and functionalities of
the developed Project Management Dashboard, focusing on how this address identified challenges.
COMPANY PROFILE
Hindalco Industries Ltd. an aluminium and copper manufacturing company, is a subsidiary of the Aditya
Birla Group situated in Renukoot, District Sonabhadra.

Hindalco is one of the world's largest aluminium rolling companies and one of the biggest producers so
primary aluminium in Asia.

Company's principal products comprise of aluminium ingots, aluminium billets, and aluminium wire rods,
sheet products.

The company has annual sales of US $15 billion and employees around 35,000 people.
Kumar Mangalam Birla is the Chairman of the ABG Group.
RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
We have collected Primary & Secondary data
• Document Review: Extensive reviews of existing project management documents, reports, and historical
project data were conducted. This included project plans, schedules, budgets, and past project performance
records.

DATA ANALYSIS
• Qualitative Analysis: Qualitative data from interviews and observations were
analyzed thematically. This involved identifying recurring themes, challenges,
and opportunities to gain a deeper understanding of the organization's project
management culture.
Dashboards Used By Company-
• Company is using different dashboards which is reflecting their
metric like revenue,profit margin and operational metrics sch as
production efficiency,supply chain performance .
• Company is using customizable dashboard for each business unit.
• Currently the Company is using Tableau and Power Bi for dasboard
development,these software enables efficient data
analysis,promotes real time decision making and enhance overall
business intelligence.
FINDINGS
DASHBOARD DEVELOPMENT

The development of the Project Management Dashboard was carried out in alignment with the insights
gained from the data analysis phase.

Development and Testing: The dashboard was developed, integrated with relevant systems, and rigorously
tested for functionality and data accuracy.

Rollout and Training: The dashboard was introduced to the organization, and training sessions were
conducted to ensure that users could make the most of its features.
CONTRIBUTION OF PROJECT TO THE
ORGANIZATION
• Cost Reduction: The optimization of resource allocation and proactive risk management facilitated by the dashboard
will lead to substantial cost savings for the organization. This is a direct and tangible contribution to the financial
health of the organization.

• Enhanced Project Success Rates: Improved project management efficiency will lead to more projects being delivered
on time and within budget, ultimately resulting in a higher rate of project success. This, in turn, enhances the
organization's reputation and client satisfaction.

Informed decision making:The Project Management Dashboard will empower decision-makers at Aditya Birla by
providing real-time access to project data and analytics. Informed decision-making is a cornerstone of project success,
and the dashboard's contribution is significant:
LEARNING OF THE STUDENT
1. practical application of project management concepts

• The project provided an opportunity to apply theoretical project management concepts and methodologies in a real-world context. It
reinforced the importance of project planning, execution, monitoring, and control, while also highlighting the need for adaptability to
meet unique organizational requirements.

2. Collaboration and communication skill

• Working on the Project Management Dashboard project required effective collaboration and communication with diverse stakeholders,
including organizational leaders, project teams, and end-users. This experience honed the student's ability to convey complex technical
concepts in a comprehensible manner.

3. Problem Solving and Critical Thinking

• The project presented various challenges, from defining clear objectives to addressing resistance to change. These obstacles required
problem-solving and critical thinking skills. The student had to analyze issues, propose solutions, and make decisions that would impact

milestone in enhancing project management practices within Aditya Birla. Throughout this project, a comprehensive understanding
