Psalm 119:103-112

How sweet to my tongue is your promise,

sweeter than honey to my mouth!
Through your precepts I gain understanding;
therefore I hate all false ways.

You’re word is a lamp for my feet,

a light for my path.
I make a solemn vow to observe your righteous judgments.
I am very much afflicted, LORD;
give me life accord with your word.
Accept my freely offered praise;
teach me your judgments.
Psalm 119:103-112

My life is always at risk,

but I do not forget your law.
The wicked have set snares for me,
but from your precepts I do not stray.
Your testimonies are my heritage forever;
they are the joy of my heart.
My heart is set on fulfilling your statutes;
they are my reward forever.
WONDERING JOYFULLY

“The Filipino is worth dying for.” “Whoever is happy will

make others happy too.”
“Pray as though everything
depended on God. Work as if “My loyalty to my party ends
everything depended on you.” where my loyalty to the country
begins.”

“You can design and create, and build the

most wonderful place in the world. But it takes
people to make the dream a reality.”

Why is being a minister of God’s Word a
challenge for the priest?
- Ministering God’s word is a challenge because it calls for
conversion, which others may resist or deny.

- A priest must share God’s word rather than the words of

the world.

- The priest must be able to help people realize their

faults so that their ways might be pleasing always to the

When we pray the Lord’s Prayer, we mention the

words, “Your Kingdom come, Your will be done.”

As Christians, we are also invited to listed, read,

understand, and reflect on God’s word as they are
proclaimed during the Mass by the ordained ministers.

The priest, as a minister of the sacraments, enables us

to encounter Christ’s healing, His forgiveness, and His
desire to make us His brother/sister and the Father’s
children.
REMEMBER

The priest mission begins in preaching God’s words to all.

It is the priest’s duty to celebrate the sacraments so that

God’s people may encounter Jesus.

The Holy Spirit guides the priest to proclaim God’s word

faithfully and celebrate the sacraments meaningfully.
“When I see the need for Divine teaching and how hungry people
are to hear it, I am atremble to be off and running throughout the
world, preaching the word of God. I have no rest, my soul finds no
other relief, than to rush about and preach.”
