Do you know what will happen when you put chocolate powder in a cup
of hot water and stir it evenly? What will you produce then?
When you do this, the chocolate powder will dissolve and will become a
chocolate solution. This is an example of a homogeneous mixture that is
formed when substances, after being mixed together, appear to be of
one uniform phase, which can be solid, liquid or gas. In this case, the
chocolate solution is in liquid phase.
In this lesson, you will learn about homogeneous mixtures. You will also
be able to identify their appearances, uses, and characteristics.
