SUEZ BAY

INDUSTRIAL WWTP
(CASE STUDY)
INTRODUCTION
The main objective of this case study was to evaluate the performance evaluation (removal
efficiency) of the Suez Bay industrial wastewater treatment plant (SBIWTP) with
respect to the removal of chemical and microbial pollutants to meet the prerequisite of
Egyptian suggestions Law number 4 of 1994.

Suez Bay industrial wastewater treatment plant (SBIWTP) in the Ataqa region is situated in
the Northwest Gulf of Suez.

The influent which enters the plant comes from domestic sewage and industrial sewage.
Description of the plant

The maximum capacity of the treatment plant is 55800 m3/day.
