Every year, since 2004, in the calendar of online
security in over 170 countries, February is the
month of a landmark event: Internet Security
Day, organized by the Insafe / INHOPE network
of the European Internet Security Centers (SIC),
with the support European Commission.

• to teach students some
simple habits that will
allow them to take
advantage of the
opportunities offered by
the online space;
• use positive online
content in the classroom,
encouraging students to
do the same at home;
• to enable students to
make informed decisions
in the online
environment, a result
which is achieved through
education and awareness
of current online safety
issues;
• and provide students
with a personal example
of positive online
behavior.
