 God created laws/commandments for his chosen
people both in the olden times and at present. As
people, we ought to follow the
laws/commandments exemplified by Jesus
himself. As disciples of Christ, we are called to
follow his footsteps. We call ourselves as
followers of our savior Jesus Christ, so we ought
to make him our role model of OBEDIENCE.

Let us know the different commandments to

be a good follower of God/Christ!!

What do you mean by a
Commandment?

What is the “root” word?

 Commandment is a Divine Law
 Commandments are actually moral
imperatives how to live our life: love
others and to follow Christ’s own
command to love.
 Commandments are LAWS of LOVE
(Loving relationships)
 they are meant to protect, not
simply to restrict. The 10
Commandments were given to
protect us.
 they are not “SHOULD” to follow
but a guide to a free-loving moral
living

his chosen Children?
Summary:
God is a God of Love. He shares his life and love to
us. He calls us to himself and by OBEDIENCE we
express our love for him. Jesus is an expression of
God’s great love for humanity. As believers and
disciples of him, we are called to follow his
examples of living a life of LOVE by way of LOVING
based on the commandments of Love and how
Jesus showed to us. The Holy Spirit is our guide to
the ways of LOVE. So, we ask for the grace in
prayer.
“For the LORD is good; his steadfast love
endures forever, and his faithfulness to all
generations.” Psalm 100:5

We praise and thank you O God for your

love. Help us to follow your
commandments and bring us closer to you.
Amen.
