Actualmente es de gran importancia tener buenos protocolos de control y


prevención para las enfermedades infecciosas en la avicultura moderna.
Para poder llevar esto a cabo debemos tener en cuenta ciertas medidas de
higiene y bioseguridad, sin embargo, no es suficiente con estos esfuerzos,
debido a la alta concentración poblacional, lo que exige altos estándares de
control y prevención de las enfermedades dentro de la avícola. Además, en
la actualidad han aparecido nuevas enfermedades y ha habido mutaciones
en las enfermedades conocidas, generando diferentes cuadros clínicos, por
ende, debe haber un manejo razonable de medidas profilácticas y
terapéuticas.
