12 Rules of Life

R A H U L PA R M A R
Rule 1: The Worst Job
In the World
This rule is considered the Golden Rule of all
rules. Abide by it and learn to live a long and
stress-free life. As I have only ever worked in
the customer service industry, I have dealt with
some interesting characters that can ruin an
almost perfect day.
Rule 2: See The Path Ahead

THIS RULE IS MY
FAV O R I T E R U L E O N T H I S
LIST AS I FOLLOW IT ON

SIMON SINEK
Rule 3: We're All just
Pawns on a Chess Board

DO NOT C O MPA R E
YOURSELF TO OTHERS; WE
ARE ALL THE SAME. WE
A L L H AV E T H E SAME
OPPORTUNITIES.

THIS IS SOMETHING I
A C T I V E LY T RY A N D DO
HOWEVER, IT IS
SOMETHING I STRUGGLE
WITH.
Rule 4: Who’s Jim?
EXERCISE! WHETHER IT
IS EVEN 30 MINUTES A
D AY, D O I T. E V E R Y
LITTLE THING COUNTS.

EVER SINCE
H I G H S C H O O L I H AV E
MADE MYSELF DO SOME
SORT OF PHYSICAL
A C T I V I T Y; I H AV E
NOTICED A POSITIVE
CHANGE IN MY MINDSET.
Rule 5: Once upon a time

Be careful what you say because not

everyone is a good person; people will try
and use your own words against you.
Once upon a time – see you thought I was
going to tell you a story.
Rule 6: I Am a Superhero
Be your own hero. Yeah, you won't ever be
able to meet them, but you will for sure keep
up the grind.

This quote resonates with me because I see

myself as a hero. The first picture is me at 5
and the following picture is me on my grad
picture day. I have come so far; yet my hero is
still me in the future.

Matthew McConaughey
Step 7: It is not that
simple

Daniel showed me a video on

men's mental health, and it showed
me that there is always a bigger
picture.
Step 8: Scuba diving is really scary.

In grade 3, my teacher Mrs. Bushell always

told us practice does not make perfect because
perfect does not exist, rather practice makes
better.

The story is her story; she was a scuba

instructor and had a horrific accident.
Step 8: Celestial
Mechanics
No matter what, the sun will rise and set.
No matter what time will go on and on
and on; we have no control over it. So,
don’t fret over anything, move on, and
make the most of your time here.
Step 10: Fix it, Deal with
it, don't whine about it

If you have a problem, fix it or deal

with the problem and yet again
move on. No one likes someone
who whines. Personally, I think,
those who whine about a problem,
tend to create more problems
Step 11: Are you
willing to die?
I was in elementary school and took the
blame for my friend because I didn't want
him to get in trouble. I had to stay after
school and talk to the teacher and write an
apology to the "victim." My friend didn't
bat an eye and didn’t say thank you.
Step 12: Let it go

When I was younger my dad would

always tell me to let it go. He would
explain, "if someone passes away it is
their time" and to never fret over
something bad happening.

I experienced this firsthand when my

grandmother passed away in January.
