Dorset coastline
The Dorset coastline was designated a World
Heritage Site in 2001 because of its
geological forms.
It is also called the Jurassic Coast because
it documents the entire Mesozoic era (began
251 million years ago, ended 65 million years
ago) with its geology and rich fossil record.
