Terminology or emphasize certain aspects more than others. The key is to faster a mindset that
encourages creativity, empathy, and iterative problem-solving. The concept of "Innovation Design
and Thinking"is often associated with approaches that emphasize creativity, problem-solving, and
user-centered design. While there are various models and frameworks, one common
representation involves four pillars :

1) Empathize:
 Understanding Users - This pillar involves deeply understanding the needs, perspectives, and
challenges of the end-users or stakeholders. It requires active listening, observation, and
sometimes even immersing oneself in the users environment to gain insights.
2) Define:
• Problem Framing - After empathizing, it's crucial to synthesize the information gathered and define the core
problem or challenge. This step involves distilling insights into a clear and actionable problem statement.

3) Ideate:
 Generating Ideas - This pillar focuses on generating a wide range of creative and innovative solutions to the
defined problem. It encourages brainstorming, ideation sessions, and often employs techniques like mind mapping,
brainstorming, or design thinking activities.
4) Prototype:
•Building and Testing - Once ideas are generated, the next step is to create tangible representations or prototypes
of potential solutions. These prototypes can be low-fidelity (e.g., sketches, paper models) or high-fidelity (e.g.,
interactive digital prototypes). Testing these prototypes helps in gathering feedback and refining the solution.
As more people rely on laptops for work, study,
and play, it's important to develop a portable
solution that can adapt to different environments
and user preferences. This assignment will explore
the design and development of a portable laptop
table that gives users a flexible and comfortable
workspace. The objective is to develop a design
concept for a portable laptop table that
brainstorms creative ideas and demonstrates
empathy for users.
 Recognize User Needs: Learn about the
difficulties and demands faced by laptop users,
taking into account aspects like portability,
ergonomics, and adaptability.
 Engage in a creative brainstorming process:
provide a variety of inventive and innovative
ideas for the design of a portable laptop table.
 Concept Development: Based on usefulness,
aesthetics, and practicality, choose the most
promising ideas and turn them into tangible
design concepts.
 Neck Problem: Many people suffers from neck
problem due to excessive use of laptop. We can
make a solution of this by adjusting angle in
laptop stand
 Visualization and Presentation: Using digital
renderings
A portable laptop table is a compact and lightweight
piece of furniture designed to provide a stable
surface for using a laptop computer in various
locations. It is specifically crafted for portability and
convenience, allowing users to comfortably work,
study, or engage in other activities with their laptops
while on the go or within different spaces.
Portable laptop tables are a great way to work comfortably from
anywhere. They are designed to be lightweight, compact, and easy
to carry around. Some of the key characteristics of portable laptop
tables include:
● Portability: Portable laptop tables are designed to be
lightweight and easy to carry around. They can be easily folded
and stored in a small space when not in use.
● Adjustable height: Most portable laptop tables come with
adjustable legs that allow you to adjust the height of the table to
your liking. This is especially useful if you are working on a
couch or bed.
● Sturdy construction: Portable laptop tables are made of sturdy
materials such as aluminum or plastic, which makes them
durable and long-lasting.
● Built-in cooling fan: Some portable laptop tables come with a
built-in cooling fan that helps keep your laptop cool and
prevents it from overheating.
● Extra features: Some portable laptop tables come with extra
features such as built-in mouse pads, cup holders, and storage
•Tabletop:
The tabletop is the surface where you place your laptop. It can be made of materials like
plastic, wood, aluminum, or other lightweight and durable materials. Some tabletops
come with non-slip surfaces to secure the laptop in place.

•Adjustable Legs:
Many portable laptop tables have legs
that can be adjusted in height to accommodate
different preferences or sitting positions.
These legs may be foldable for easy storage
and transportation.

•Locking Mechanisms:
Adjustable features often come with locking
mechanisms to secure the table at a specific
height or angle. These mechanisms
ensure stability during use.
•Ventilation Holes:
Some laptop tables come with ventilation holes or channels to allow airflow around the laptop, helping to prevent
overheating.
•Cable Management:
Some models may include features for cable
management, such as clips or channels to keep
your charging cables organized and prevent
them from tangling.
•Built-in Extras:
Depending on the design, portable laptop tables
may include built-in extras such as mouse pads,
LED lights, or storage compartments for small items.
•Material and Finish:
The choice of materials, such as aluminum, plastic,
or wood, affects the overall weight, durability, and
appearance of the laptop table. The finish may include
textures or coatings for better grip and durability.
•Non-slip Baffles and Borders:
The edges of the tabletop may have raised borders or
Non-slip borders to prevent the laptop from sliding off. This can be
important for stability and to protect the laptop from
accidental falls.
A Prototype is an early model or iteration of a product made to verify and test its feasibility,
functioning, and design. Before going on to mass manufacturing, it enables for practical
evaluation and iteration and acts as a concrete embodiment of an idea or concept.

DIGITAL SKETCH REAL PRODUCT

HAND-DRAWING SKETCH
•When testing a portable laptop table for stability and overall suitability, you can perform several practical tests.
Here are some tests you can conduct:
• Weight Capacity Test:
 Gradually add weight to the table, simulating the weight of your laptop and any additional accessories you
typically use. Ensure that the table remains stable and doesn't show signs of bending or wobbling.
• Surface Stability Test:
 Place your laptop on the table and check for any wobbling or instability. Try typing and using the mouse to
simulate real-world usage.
• Height Adjustment Test:
 If the table has adjustable height settings, test each setting to ensure that it securely locks in place and
remains stable. Check for any play or wobbling at different heights.
• Angle Adjustment Test:
 If the table has an adjustable angle feature, test it to ensure that it securely locks in place at different angles.
Confirm that the table remains stable and doesn't shift during adjustments.
• Folding and Unfolding Test:
 Practice folding and unfolding the table to see how smoothly it operates. Check for any difficulty in the
folding mechanism and make sure it securely locks in the open position.
• Surface Durability Test:
 Examine the durability of the table's surface. Check for scratches, dents, or damage after simulated use. A
• Non-Slip Test:
 Place the table on different surfaces (wood, tile, carpet) and check the stability of the legs.
Ensure that any anti-slip features on the feet effectively prevent sliding.
• Carrying and Transportation Test:
 If the table is designed for portability, test how easy it is to carry. Consider factors like weight,
ergonomics of any handles, and overall compactness when folded.
• Compatibility Test:
 Ensure that the table is compatible with different laptop sizes and models. Test with various
laptops to confirm a secure fit.
• Long-Term Durability Test:
 If possible, look for reviews or testimonials from users who have used the table for an extended
period. Long-term durability is essential, especially for a frequently used portable item.
• Stability on Uneven Surfaces:
 Test the stability of the table on different surfaces, including slightly uneven ones. Adjustable
legs should be able to compensate for uneven ground to maintain stability.
Portability: Lightweight and portable laptop tables are made to be
carried about easily. Seek for tables with handles or carrying cases that
are convenient to fold up and store.

Adjustability: To get the most comfortable laptop position, look for

tables with height and angle adjustments. Additionally, some tables
have integrated fans to keep your laptop cool.

Durability: Verify that the table you select is strong enough to hold
your laptop. Seek out tables with a weight capacity that accommodates
your laptop and that are constructed from premium materials.
Portable laptop tables are a great way to work
comfortably and efficiently from anywhere. They
are designed to be lightweight, compact, and easy
to carry around. You can use them for a variety of
purposes such as studying, working, or even as a
breakfast table.
