Guidelines for preparation of good presentation
slides are as follows:
• Clarity:
o Ensure slides are clear and concise, avoiding clutter.

o Use bullet points, visuals, and simple language to convey your message.

• Consistency:
o Maintain a consistent design, font, and color scheme throughout your

presentation for a polished look.

• Relevance:
o Include only essential information that supports your key points.
o Avoid irrelevant details that can distract your audience.

• Visual Appeal:
o Use high-quality images, charts, and graphs to enhance visual appeal.
o Ensure readability by choosing appropriate font sizes and colors.

• Limit Text:
o Keep text to a minimum.
o Use keywords and phrases to convey ideas, and elaborate verbally to
engage your audience.

• Engaging Headlines :
o Create attention- grabbing headlines for each slide.

• Limited Bullet Points :


o Don’t overcrowd slides with bullet points.
o Focus on key messages to maintain audience interest.

• Legible Font Size :


o Ensure text is readable from a distance.
o Aim for font size of at least 18 points for body text.

• Balance :
o Strike a balance between text and visuals.
o Too much text can overwhelm, while too few visuals may result in a dull
presentation.

• Contrast :

• Images/ graphics:

o Slide should follow a clear and easy- to- follow structure.

interest.
o Address potential questions or concerns in your slides.
