Data collection:
+ Data collection is term used to describe a
process of preparing and collection data
+ Systemic gathering of data for various sources,
that has been systematically
observed,recorded,organized
+ Data are basic inputs to any decision making
process in business.
What is Primary Data?
+ Data that has been generated by the
researcher himself/herself, surveys, interviews,
experiments, specially designed for
understanding and solving the research
problem at hand.
+ Primary data refers to the first hand data
gathered by the researcher himself.
+ Real time data.
What is Secondary Data?
+ Using existing data generated by large
government Institutions, healthcare facilities etc.
as part of organizational record keeping. The
data is then extracted from more varied
datafiles.
+ Secondary data means data collected by
someone else earlier.
+ Past time data.
