A SCHEDULE OF PREVENTATIVE TASKS

 The biggest hurdle is being aware of

what needs to be done..._& how often ..._
for optimal vehicle upkeep

 By knowing the basics about what your

Vehicle needs, and when you should perform
routine Vehicle maintenance, you’ll ensure
that Vehicle is in top-running condition.
Types of Maintenance

 Preventive maintenance
 Corrective maintenance
WHEN… & WHY..!?
• When we do Preventive maintenance we are doing a
task before a failure has occurred. That task can be
aimed at preventing a failure, minimising the consequence
of the failure or assessing the risk of the failure occurring.

• When we are conducting Corrective maintenance the failure

has now occurred and we are basically reinstating equipment
functionality. To be clear, corrective maintenance can be
the result of a deliberate run-to-failure strategy.
Preventive maintenance

 Time Based Maintenance (TBM)

 Failure Finding Maintenance (FFM)
 Risk Based Maintenance (RBM)
 Condition Based Maintenance (CBM)
 Predictive Maintenance (PDM)
Corrective maintenance

 Emergency Maintenance
 Deferred Maintenance

 Two types ..– Third-party Insurance and

Third-party insurance is a mandatory

requirement by law. It covers only damages to the
third-party. Under third-party insurance, you do not
get compensation for the damages to your Vehicle.

A comprehensive insurance policy, on the other

hand, covers both third-party liability and damage to
your Vehicle
Points to be remembered, during the transfer of a
Govt., Vehicle

 Change the Ownership of a vehicle

 Transfer the vehicle insurance policy-

This is important , because you will not be
in a position to claim insurance if need be
in future

 PUC - Certificate
 Certificate of Insurance:
