Sub: - Approval for nomination of survey committee for inspection and
Recommendation for condemnation of unserviceable M&Ps under
SSE/C&W/BJE
One rotary screw type “Electric Air Compressor” make ELGI (Covered 90% of
Codal life) located at BJE Station platform under SSE/C&W/BJE is not in
working condition. An outside agency was hired to repair this electric air
compressor, but it was unsuccessful due to the extremely high estimated
repair cost. Also, the competent authority has directed to relocate this
compressor at any other location that would incur further extra expenditure.
Hence it is required to condemned and dispose this air compressor for which
administrative approval has been obtained from competent authority to
process premature condemnation.

As per Sl. No. 15(c) of MSOP 2018(Misc. Matters) (F-6), Sr. DME is empowered
to condemn M&Ps which has covered more than 90% of its Codal life without
finance concurrence for which machine is to be surveyed by standing
committee members. As per Annexure-A, Sl. No. B of MOSP-2018(Misc.
Matters) (F-15), standing survey committee for condemnation of M&Ps scrap
value of which is less than Rs. 50000/- are as follows:
1. Convener: DME
2. Members: AEE & AAO
DME/ADA is requested to kindly approve and nominate the members of survey
committee for conducting survey the above-mentioned M&Ps for
condemnation please.
