WITH HAPPINESS AND

PEACE
The strong emotions that I can sense from this spiral aerial performance are
sadness intertwined with happiness and peace. It seems as if the dancer is trying
to navigate her way throughout the spiral which represents the obstacles of life.
It’s as if she's stuck inside the spiral and is trying to break free. The melancholy
background adds depth to her performance. Even though it’s challenging, she
has a smile on her face. As if she is happily accepting her reality and moving on
with it. This adds a sense of peace to the performance, telling us that she is
trying to make peace with the existing spirals or difficulties around her. The
drastic change in music from a slow sad pace to a fast pace depicts the change in
phase of her journey. The dance is a similar representation to how our lives may
seem perfect on the outside, but is full of struggle and hardships on the inside
just like a spiral. And at the end of the day we accept things and move onto the
next with a smile on our faces.
