CONVERTING UNITS
1. Compare your two units.
The two units must measure the same thing.
2. Look up the conversion.
Know how much larger one unit is than the other.
3. Write the conversion as a fraction.
4. Write a multiplication problem with your
original number and the fraction.
5. Solve the multiplication problem.
Track your units.
6. Cancel units that appear on top and bottom.
Whatever you're left with should be your answer.
7. Correct mistakes.
If your units don't cancel, start over and try again.
 CONVERTING VALUE
WITH MULTIPLE UNITS
1. Write down your problem.
Figure out exactly what the problem is asking
2. Find the conversion for one unit.
You can only convert between two units that measure the same thing.
3. Multiply your number by the conversion
fraction.
Include every unit in your calculations.
4. Cancel out your units.
You aren't done yet, but you're getting closer.
5. Multiply with another conversion fraction the
same way.
6. Cancel units.
7. Repeat until the conversion is done.
If your answer is in the units you were trying to convert to, you're
done with the problem.

2. Learn the prefixes.
3. Use the prefixes in conversion.
4. Move the decimal point instead of doing
calculations.
The best part about metric conversion is skipping all the calculations.
