sentences together. Conjunctions are used to coordinate words in a sentence.

Coordinating conjunctions are words that connect words,
phrases, and clauses that are equal to each other. They
give equal emphasis to what is being combined. For, And, Nor, But, Or, Yet, So

Eg-: "You can go by train or bus from here"


"Rice needs plenty of water whereas cotton needs black soil"
"The stranger neither looked at anyone"
Subordinating conjunctions

Subordinating conjunctions are words or phrases that link a dependent clause to an


independent clause. They are used to create complex sentences.

Although, Because, When, Until, Now that, Wherever.
