ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES OF BIM
TEAM
Role of BIM Manager:

• Ensures development and compliance with the approved Design BIM Management Plan.
• Responsible for the development, coordination, publication, and verification that all necessary
• configurations required for seamless integration of design and construction model information have been
implemented.
• Assembles composite design model for coordination meetings.
• Facilitates use of composite design models in design coordination/clash detection meetings and provides
detection reports by the identification and resolution of all hard and soft collisions.
• Model exchange from one party to another
• Oversight and provide guidance to BIM Team on BIM Strategy
• Validating the level of detail and controls as defined for each project phase Validating
model content during each phase
• Participating in design review and model coordination sessions with BIM Team
Communicating issues back to the Main Contractor & BIM co-coordinator
• Properly storing the models in the collaborative project document management system
• Determine schedule of use, sharing activities, quality control, modeling responsibilities and
