ROAD

SIGN
The 60 mph sign is a
road traffic sign used
to inform drivers that
a 60mph speed limit is
in place.

MAXIMUM SPEED
LIMIT 60 Mph
This Cattle in the road sign
(otherwise known as diagram
548) warns drivers of an
oncoming cattle crossing. This is
a place on the road where a farmer
will regularly transfer their cattle
(cows) from one field to another,
meaning drivers need to be
cautious of their speed.

CAUTION COWS
IN ROAD
A men at work sign is a warning
sign. Men at work signs indicate
that road workers are in or near
the roadway. Drivers should be
alert and prepared to slow down
or stop if they encounter this
sign. Oftentimes the men at
work signs are posted in
construction zones where speed
limits are reduced.

MEN AT WORK
The falling rocks road
sign diagram 559 is the sign to
indicate a risk of falling or fallen
rocks onto the junction from either
side, its variants indicate whether
they may fall from the Right or
from the Left.

FALLING ROCKS
The slippery road sign is a warning
sign. Slippery road signs are posted
in areas where a slippery condition
might exist. Drivers should use
extreme caution and slow their
speed when the road is wet or icy.
Avoid any sudden changes in
direction when conditions are poor.
This slippery when wet road sign is
commonly posted by bridges or
overpasses as they are the first to
freeze and last to thaw in cold
weather.

SLIPPERY ROAD
A Traffic Signal Ahead sign means that
you are approaching an intersection
controlled by a traffic light.
When you see a Traffic Signal
Ahead sign, you should:
Keep and eye out for the current color of the
traffic light.
Be prepared to slow down and stop.
Proceed through the intersection when you
have a green light and the way is clear.
Being able to recognize road signs as you drive
and respond accordingly is an important part
of being a safe driver, sharing the road, and
respecting right-of-way rules.
TRAFFIC LIGHTS
AHEAD
Durable Horse Crossing and Horse
Warning signs last years, even in
bad weather. These heavy duty
selective signs are made just like
our traffic signs that we sell to
municipalities and other public
entities. In the field they have
proven to be easily seen.

CAUTION HORSE
RIDERS AHEAD
ROUNDABOUT
AHEAD
The ROUNDABOUT
AHEAD Sign warns
motorists that they are
approaching a
roundabout
intersection and to
proceed with caution.
NO OVER
TAKING
The no overtaking road sign is circular
with a red border meaning that it is
giving drivers an order. As the no
overtaking sign is regulatory, it is illegal
to overtake. The no overtaking restriction
ends when the lines in the road change
from a continuous white line, to a broken
line.
SCHOOL
CROSSING
This means that many children
are in the area. Children are
not as alert as adults when it
comes to crossing roads. With
this, school zone sign meaning
is to serve as a warning. This
is the common sign used in
the Philippines for School
Zone Ahead. When you see
the School Zone Ahead sign,
every driver should slow down.
STEEP DOWNHILL
AHEAD
A Hill / Downgrade traffic sign warns
drivers that the road ahead goes
downhill. Slow down and be ready to
shift to a lower gear to control your
speed. Passing other vehicles on hills
where you can’t see at least 500 feet
ahead is prohibited. Making U-turns
on hills is also prohibited.
The uneven road sign is used to alert drivers of
damage in the road surface which would cause
a driver to lose control if hit at the normal
speed limit.
The sign should only be used temporarily
before work begins on the carriageway. The
diagram may be plated ‘For’ and the distance to
expect an uneven road surface. Diagram 511
‘REDUCE SPEED NOW’ is also recommended.
This diagram shouldn't be installed if the
uneven road is due to level crossings where the
rail levels make the road uneven - "Risk of
Grounding" 782 is needed here.
As with all of our warning signs, 556 comes
from 450mm to 1500mm. If your required size

drivers, to be careful in specific
areas where animal activity is

POSSIBLE
QUEUING
The "queues likely ahead" road sign
informs drivers that there is expected to
be a build-up of traffic down the same
road. The sign is basically telling drivers
that they will likely become stuck for a
period of time, allowing them to either
turn around or find an alternative route if
possible.
CROSS ROADS AHEAD
A crossroad sign means there is an intersection
ahead with traffic approaching from the left,
right and straight ahead. You must therefore
prepare to stop to give the right of way to traffic
even if there are no traffic lights, or a stop sign
or give way sign. The major road always has the
right of way but if you’re driving on the major
road of an intersection don’t go past
intersections without precaution; reduce your
speed or even stop when necessary..
GIVE WAY
TO TRAFFIC
Give way means to slow down and, if
necessary, stop in order to prevent a crash
from happening. You must always give way at
a give way sign and check it's safe to continue.
Give way signs are placed at intersections and
other places where other vehicles have priority
NO CARS OR
MOTORCYCLE
It means cars and motorbikes are NOT
permitted on a particular road.
NO U TURN
The no U-turn sign is a regulatory sign. No
U-turn signs are posted at intersections to
indicate the driver is not legally allowed to
make a U-turn (a turn in the road to go the
opposite direction). If a driver needs to make
a 180 degree turn in a place marked no U-
turn, they must wait for an intersection that
allows this type of turn or find an alternate
way such as going around a block..
ONE WAY
The one way traffic sign is a regulatory
sign. Drivers encountering a one way sign
must travel in the direction that the sign is
pointing. One way signs designate the
direction in which traffic is traveling.
Drivers must not travel in the opposite
direction of the one way sign due to the
risk of a head-on collision.
TRAIN TRACKS AHEAD
The railroad crossing sign is a warning
sign. Railroad crossing signs are designed
to alert drivers of railroad tracks
ahead. Drivers must be aware of any
approaching trains from both directions
and be prepared to stop, if necessary.
STOP

vehicles to stop and not to continue
until it is safe
