Jalandhar training report

Sub Division - Nawanshahr

 We have visited sub-division Nawanshahr on 1st day of training where we

visited sites in which following sites were included;
 Charan Headworks with RD-93487 which is start of both Jalandhar branch and
Nawanshahr branch.
 Rahon Rajbaha whose total length is 4.27 km with discharge of 3.95 cusecs.
 Jalandhar Branch Canal whose total length is 68.90 km with discharge of 491.67 cusecs.
Sub division - Goraya

 After then we have visited sub-division Goraya on 3rd day of training where we visited sites
in which we did levelling works;
 Bilger Section, Sub-Division Goraya Survey Vill. Khela with RD- 18309
 On 2nd day at sub-division Goraya, we have read some files related to Water Resources
Department.
 Sub division - Jalandhar

 After then we have visited sub-division Jalandhar on 5th day of training where we visited
sites in which following sites were included;
 Headworks at Jalandhar Distributary from two minors originated namely Wadala and Kaulpur.
division - Jalandhar

 After then we have visited division Jalandhar on 7th day of training where we visited
following branches;
 Drawing Branch – We met JDM of division Ludhiana where we saw some L-Sections of the canals
under this division.
 Accounts Branch- Then we met Divisional Accountant who told us about the working of division.
 C Branch- Then we met Superindent Sir who told us about the clerical work of this division.
