2.1 RISK TO EXPORT GROWTH DUE TO LABOUR ABUSE
AND  Foreign workers in Malaysia have made many contribution in Malaysia’s economy such as
in manufacturing and agriculture (Reuters, 2021).
DEVELOPMENT  The number of foreign workers in Malaysia has increased and they made complaints of
abusive working and their conditions of living for workers (Reuters, 2021).
 Experts warned that if this happens continuously, the country might face the risk of export
growth model.
 Example: U.S import banned seven Malaysian companies including glove maker and palm
oil producer due to allegations of labour forced (Reuters, 2021).
