Introduction
The industrial sector in Malaysia
continues to play an important part
in the country's economic
development. Malaysia's industrial
sector attracted RM91.3 billion in
investments across 1,049 projects
in 2020.
Conclusion
In a nutshell, Malaysia
government should recognize the
importance of the industrial
sector's growth. Industrial sector
provided a lot of benefit for the
country as well as people.

4. Economic Growth
• Economic growth is aided by an increase in GDP, which is the
market value of all goods and services generated annually
within a country. (Azer et. al., 2016).
• Malaysia had met the requirements for being classified as a
Newly Industrialized Country (NIC), which signifies that
industrial items account for 30% of exports.

1. Modernisation of Industry
• Industrialization is required for agricultural modernization.
• To modernise agriculture, tractors, threshers, pump sets, and
harvesters are required because production costs are high and
productivity is low (Mehta, 2015).
• As a result, industrial development is required for agricultural
modernization.

2. Increase in Employment
• Additional jobs are created as a result of industrial
improvements in both large and small firms,
providing more opportunities for those who might
otherwise be unemployed.
• For instance, during Covid-19 pandemic, global
demand has risen in certain manufacturing areas,
such as the medical device business, which
produces medical gloves, surgical masks, and other
disposable medical products.
3.Increased Productivity
• Industry's efforts to rely more on technology and less on capital and
labour will be aided by the National Policy on Industry 4.0.
• Malaysia's labour productivity has risen by less than 4% in recent
years, and the country's worldwide productivity position has
remained unchanged since 2009. (Leong, 2018).
