What is Noun?
Noun refers to name of people, things, or ideas.
Example: Ana, Tony, Book, Chair, Cat, Dog, etc
- Michael is a good student
- Melbourne is the best city in Australia
- I want to watch a movie
- I put my wallet on the table
What is Verb
Verb describes an action or experiences. It
is a heart of sentence.
Example: Run, Go, Study, Sing, Ride, etc
- Alex is going home. He loves his home
- Mario drives car to go to his home town
- We played football last weekend
What is Adjective
Adjective modifies or describes noun or
pronouns in a sentence.
Example: Beautiful, Lazy, Smart, Sleepy, Late,
Tired, Delicious, Tall, Short, White, Red, Busy, etc
- Tony loves his beautiful daughters. His
daughters also love their caring father.
- Mark is driving a black car
- Barbara has several dogs
What is Adverb
Adverb modify or describe adjectives, verbs, or
other adverbs. It answers the questions When?
Where? How? Or How much?
Example: Always, Often, Very, Quickly,
Completely, Well, Enough, Really, Now, Today,
Yesterday, Here, There etc
- Mark is running quickly
- Jane never drinks coffee
- We will go there tomorrow
What is pronoun
A pronouns is used to replace the name of person, place,
thing, or idea in a sentence.
Example:
1. Mark is in the kitchen. He is cooking
(personal Subject Pronouns: I, You, He, She, it, We, They)
2. Mary doesn’t like me
( Personal Object pronouns: me, you, him, her, it, us, them)
3. Is that David’s car? No, it’s mine
Possessive pronoun : mine, yours, his, her, ours, theirs
What is Preposition?
It describes the place, time, or direction. It is
used before a noun or pronoun.
Example: in, at, om by, of, or, behind, in front of,
etc…
- I put my book on the table
- I passed my holidays in my hometown
- She talks about me behind my back.
What is Conjunction
It is used to connect the words, phrases, or clauses in a
sentence.
Example: and, but, both, although, eventhough, after,
before, while, etc…

1. I like the car but I don’t have enough money to buy it


2. I love Mitha and Brendha
3. I go to work eventhough my my back is pain
What is Interjection
It is used to express strong emotion and
often followed by exclamation mark (!)
Example: oops, horray, bravo, Oww, Huh,
pardon, excuse me, sorry, amazing, very
good, excellent etc..
- Bravo! You got an A+
- Horray! We’re going on holiday.
- It is really amazing!
