Single Pole Double Throw Switch

- Also known as change over switch


- An example is the 3-way switch

- Used to control a light or


device from locations.

- The single terminal at one end of


the switch is called the hinge
point or “common.” The
remaining terminals form the
connecting points for the other
two wires are called the
“Travellers”.
- Common are labeled as 0
- Travellers are labeled 1 & 3
