What was the renaissance ?
•The word “Renaissance” means rebirth in Latin

1. Albrecht Dürer
2. Johannes Gutenberg
3. Michelangelo
1- Albrecht Dürer
Albrecht Dürer was a painter,
printmaker, and writer generally
regarded as the greatest German
Renaissance artist. His paintings
and engravings show tremendous
detail to represent the bodies of
humans and animals extremely
accurately.
2- Johannes Gutenberg
Johannes Gutenberg was born 14th
century in Mainz, Germany. He was
a German craftsman and inventor
who originated a method of printing
- the movable type. Johann
Gutenberg's invention of movable-
type printing quickened the spread
of knowledge, discoveries, and
literacy in Renaissance Europe.
3- Michelangelo
Michelangelo was a Italian
Renaissance sculptor, painter, and
architect who exerted great influence
on the development of Western art.
Michelangelo is considered on of the
most important artists of the
Renaissance. His sculpture of David,
his painting on the ceiling of the Sistine
Chapel and his work of St. Peter's
Basilica are a few examples of his
masterpieces.
