Time is of the

Essence
Romans 13:11
11 And do this, understanding the present time: The hour has already
come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is
nearer now than when we first believed.
12 The night is nearly over; the day is almost here. So let us put
aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light. 13 Let us
behave decently, as in the daytime, not in carousing and drunkenness,
not in sexual immorality and debauchery, not in dissension and
jealousy.
14 Rather, clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not
think about how to gratify the desires of the flesh.

Indi kita magpahubog
ukon magsunod sa mga mahigko nga pagkinalipay. Indi kita
maghimo sang imoral nga pagpakigrelasyon ukon magpagusto himo
sang kalautan. Indi kita mag-inaway ukon maghisaay.
Ephesians 5:15-16

15 Look carefully then how you walk, not

as unwise but as wise
16 making the best use of the time,
because the days are evil.
2 Timothy 3:1-5

But know this, that in the last days perilous times will
come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of
money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to
parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving,
slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of
good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure
rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but
denying its power. And from such people turn away!
maayo.
4 Mangin traidor sila, dasodaso, kag magapadayaw sang ila kaugalingon.
Dios. Likawi ang mga tawo nga pareho sina.
Psalm 90:12

12 So teach us to number our days

that we may get a heart of wisdom.
HOW TO VALUE
OUR LIMITED
TIME?
1. Make yourself AVAILABLE for the
Lord

MATTHEW 9:9

9 As Jesus passed on from there, he saw a man

called Matthew sitting at the tax booth, and he said to
him, “Follow me.” And he rose and followed him.
1 Corinthians 11:1

11 1 Follow my example, as I follow the

example of Christ.
God is NOT looking for your
ABILITY. RATHER HE IS
LOOKING FOR YOUR
AVAILABILITY.
2. Do not be disracted
1 Samuel 17:28

17 And Jesse said to David his son, “Take for your brothers an ephah[e]
of this parched grain, and these ten loaves, and carry them quickly to the
camp to your brothers.
18 Also take these ten cheeses to the commander of their thousand. See
if your brothers are well, and bring some token from them.”
19 Now Saul and they and all the men of Israel were in the Valley of
Elah, fighting with the Philistines.
20 And David rose early in the morning and left the sheep with a keeper
and took the provisions and went, as Jesse had commanded him. And he
came to the encampment as the host was going out to the battle line,
shouting the war cry.
21 And Israel and the Philistines drew up for battle, army against army.
22 And David left the things in charge of the keeper of the baggage and
ran to the ranks and went and greeted his brothers.
23 As he talked with them, behold, the champion, the Philistine of Gath,
Goliath by name, came up out of the ranks of the Philistines and spoke
the same words as before. And David heard him.
24 All the men of Israel, when they saw the man, fled from him and were
much afraid.
25 And the men of Israel said, “Have you seen this man who has come up?
Surely he has come up to defy Israel. And the king will enrich the man who
kills him with great riches and will give him his daughter and make his
father's house free in Israel.”
26 And David said to the men who stood by him, “What shall be done for
the man who kills this Philistine and takes away the reproach from Israel?
For who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of
the living God?”
27 And the people answered him in the same way, “So shall it be done to
the man who kills him.”
28 Now Eliab his eldest brother heard when
he spoke to the men. And Eliab's anger was
kindled against David, and he said, “Why
have you come down? And with whom have
you left those few sheep in the wilderness? I
know your presumption and the evil of your
heart, for you have come down to see the
battle.”
1 Peter 5:8

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring

lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.

8 Magpugong kamo sang inyo kaugalingon kag magbantay!

nagangurob kag nagapangita sang tulukbon.
3. Focus on eternity
PROVERBS 4: 20- 27

20 My son, pay attention to what I say;turn your ear to my words.

21 Do not let them out of your sight, keep them within your heart;

22 for they are life to those who find them and health to one’s whole
body.

23 Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.
24 Keep your mouth free of perversity; keep corrupt talk far
from your lips.

25 Let your eyes look straight ahead; fix your gaze directly
before you.

26 Give careful thought to the[a] paths for your feet and be

steadfast in all your ways.

27 Do not turn to the right or the left; keep your foot from evil.
Colossians 3:1-2

1 Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your
hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the
right hand of God.

2 Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.

Galatians 1:10

Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or

am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I
would not be a servant of Christ.
Ephesians 6:11

Clothe yourselves with the full armor of

God so that you may be able to stand
against the schemes of the devil.
WE CANNOT AFFORD TO
WASTE TIME.
We do not know what
tomorrow will bring.

James 4:14

14 Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow.

What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while
and then vanishes.
