The State is having variety of minerals Meghalaya has abundant but untapped
like coal, Petroleum and Natural natural resources, including coal,
Gas,Dolomite, limestone, kaolin, feldspar, quartz, mica,
Limestone,Graphite,Asbestos,Placer gypsum, bauxite, and other minerals. Its
gold,Iron,Marble,Ferro-Sillicon Grade, sillimanite deposits (a source of high-
Quartzite, Lead&Zinc,Minor grade ceramic clay) are reported to be the
Minerals(Sand,Gravel,Boulders,soil,etc.) best in the world and account for almost
all of India's sillimanite output.
