Family Welfare Program

refers to the program being promoted by


DOLE that provides family welfare
services to workers, as described under
Department Order No. 56-03 which is
carried out in the workplace through a
Family Welfare Committee (FWC) or similar
welfare-based special body composed of
representatives of labor, management and
the plant clinic, if there is any.
Providing family welfare services
to help workers attain not only a productive
life in the workplace but also a happy and
contented home/family life is the core of the
Family Welfare Program.

Putting the FWP into Practice

The Family Welfare Program is carried out


by the employer by installing the Family
Welfare Committee (FWC) or similar
welfare-based special body composed of
representatives of labor, management and
plant clinic.

The FWC plans and oversees the


implementation of various FWP activities.
Plant-level Family Welfare Committee
(FWC) Responsibilities

The FWC will be responsible


for planning, organizing and
implementing, monitoring an
in-plant family welfare
program. The in-plant program
shall focus on the ten
dimensions of the FWP.
