Achievement Tests
Achievement test constitute an important tool of evaluation.
It is necessary for the teacher to know how far the pupils have attained in a particular
subject area.
“ Any test that measure the attainment or accomplishments of an individual after a period of
training or learning is called an achievement test”. - Downie

specific nature of pupil’s difficulties in given subject area.
To identify the particular strengths and weakness on the part of the
individual child and within reasonable limits to reveal the underlying causes.
