THE LAW OF

FASTING FOR
THE PILOTS
Fasting for Muslims …
… is refraining from eating and drinking
and all actions that can break the fast,
from sunrise to sunset, with certain
conditions, to increase the piety of a
Muslim.

2
ONE OF A FEW EFFECTS OF FASTING
YOU SHOULD KNOW IS …

reduced concentration and decreased blood glucose

3
WHY !?
AT SAHUR …
… YOU ATE TOO MANY CARBOHYDRATE FOODS

… YOU ATE TOO MANY FRIED FOODS

… LACK OF DRINKING MINERAL WATER

4

So, it will be better for you not to do any of the things
that listed before by …

… eat nutritious food, not eating too many fried

foods and drink mineral water a lot AT SAHUR.

5
HOWEVER, THERE ARE EXCEPTIONS WHICH HAVE BEEN
ISSUED BY MUI FOR THE PILOTS TO NOT CARRY OUT
FASTING WHICH IS DISCUSSED IN THE
8th NATIONAL CONFERENCE 2010

6
WITH THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS

Pilots with permanent traveler status (someone who travels continuously)

can replace the fast of Ramadan by paying a fine or fidyah.

Meanwhile, pilots who are non-permanent travelers or travel from time to

time still have to pay for fasting on another day.
