Integers
DRILL

Perform multiplication on each pair of

numbers.
1. 12 and 4
2. 7 and 3
3. 15 and 9
4. 25 and 5
5. 9 and 4
L KING BACK

Determine if the following pairs of integers have like

signs or unlike signs.
1.(+7) and (-12) unlike signs

2.(-4) and (-9) like signs

3.(-5) and (-30) like signs

4.(+2) and (-11) unlike signs

5. (+56) and (+18) like signs

PROBLEM OPENER
After a community campaign on reducing waste,
the amount of garbage in Rita’s household
decreased by 2 kg per day. By how much will their
garbage decrease after 6 days? What is the average
reduced waste by each person in Rita’s household if
there are four of them in the family?
The product of two integers with the same signs
is positive while the product of two integers with
different signs is negative.
Examples:
1. 7 x 5 = 35
2. -11 x (-6)= 66
3. 9 x (-7) = -63
4. 7 x (-21) = -147
5. 25 x 25 = 625
BOARD Work

Find the product.

1. (-8) x (-2) = 16 6. (8) x (-14) = -112

2. (+3) x (-4) = -12 7. (-145) x (-3) = 435

3. (-5) x (+9) = -45 8. (-3) x (4) = -12

4. (-12) x (-6) = 72 9. (-8) x (12) x (-5) = 480

5. (+5) x (+7) = 35 10. (4) x (-25) x (-3) = 300

The quotient of two integers with the same signs
is positive and the quotient of two integers with
different signs is negative.
Examples:
1. 6 ÷ 2 = 3
2. (-15) ÷ (-3) = 5
3. 45 ÷ (-9) = -5
4. (-100) ÷ 25 = -4
5. 24 ÷ (-6) = -4
BOARD Work

Find the quotient.

1. (-25) ÷ (+5) = -5 6. (169) ÷ (-13) = -13

2. (+21) ÷ (-3) = -7 7. (-32) ÷ (-8) = 4

3. (-18) ÷ (+6) = -3 8. (-144) ÷ 12 = -12

4. (-84) ÷ (-4) = 21 9. (525) ÷ (-25) = -21

5. (+100) ÷ (+25) = 4 10. (-600) ÷ (-15) = 40

BOARD Work
Solve the problem.

Mrs. Tan supports a charity for the children by

deducting P350.00 every month from her bank
account. What is her total deduction in a year? How
much money will the charity receive in 5 years?
