Introduction
• Contributory Social Protection Policy was issued in 2017.

• The primary aim of the act is to reduce the increasing financial burden
of the government in a non-contributory social protection programs

• The Government of Nepal has been providing non-contributory social


protection program both Social assistance and Social insurance

• 11 percent contribution from employer and 20 percent from employee
