Direction: The box contains situations that
everybody can relate to. Your task is to give a
reaction to the situation that you pick on the
box. The class will be grouped into 3. Each
group needs to have 2 representatives to
present their reactions. You only have 5
minutes to finish the activity.
Reaction

 A reaction is an action taken in response to

something. Reacting to the assertion is an
essential skill in language learning. Making
reactions will allow readers to express their
thoughts and feelings about the text or
situations presented. One can decide to
agree or disagree with the given text.
There are two ways in expressing or giving
your reaction about a given assertion or text.
We have positive and negative words.

Two Friends

Once upon a time, there was a very poor girl, but nobody loved her. The
girl lived alone, but she needed to have a friend. After some time, she met
a very rich girl who was a very humble person.
They began to talk and soon became very good friends. They were very
close friends and had much affection for each other. The poor girl didn't
have parents or a house to sleep in, so the rich girl decided to invite her
friend to live in her house as they had a good friendship.
Reaction:
Truly there are people that we meet that we
will consider a family even if we are not
blood-related.
lThe Story of Akbar and Birbal

King Akbar once lost a ring and suspected that one of his courtiers stole the ring
but could not identify and catch him. He asked Birbal to solve the case. Birbal
said in the court that he knew who had stolen the ring. When the king asked him
about the identity of that person, Birbal replied that the courtier with the straw in
his beard was the one who had stolen the king’s ring. Immediately, the guilty
courtier touched his beard to check for the straw. Birbal immediately pointed at
him and caught him as the culprit.
Little Red Riding Hood

In the story, Little Red Riding Hood, a small girl goes through the woods carrying food
for her frail grandma. Many elders warned her about the wicked wolf that lived in the
woods and advised her not to follow the road through the jungle. But as she was
determined, she takes the road through the jungle. A wolf follows her along the route
and inquires about her destination. She foolishly tells the wolf that she is heading to her
grandmother's house.
The wolf succeeds in entering her grandmother's home first and devours her. The wolf
then assumes the grandmother's identity. Little Red Riding Hood is first duped by the
disguise when she arrives at her house, which allows the wolf to persuade her to enter.
He then consumes the little female as well. The classic tale teaches us that we must
always listen to the advice of our elders.
