INTRODUCTION

• Daraz.pk is the leading online marketplace in Pakistan, founded in 2012. It


is an e-commerce platform that connects buyers and sellers to offer a wide
range of products at competitive prices. Daraz.pk is part of the global
online retailer, Alibaba Group, and has over 10 million registered users and
more than 30,000 sellers. In this presentation, we will take a closer look at
Daraz.pk, its history, business model, and how it uses cyber psychology
concepts to enhance the user experience.
BUSINESS MODEL

• Daraz.pk follows a marketplace business model, where it connects buyers and sellers to offer a

wide range of products at competitive prices. Daraz.pk earns revenue through commissions

charged on each transaction, and it also offers advertising and promotional serv ices to its sellers.

The platform operates on a cash-on-delivery model, online payments through credit cards as well

as online bank transfers where buyers can pay for their purchases in cash when they receive the

products as well as they can pay later to enjoy contactless and hassle free delivery at their door

steps.

• Daraz.pk has recently introduced the self pickup option from their customer care centre because

some consumers wants to keep their product private as well as it saves delivery charges so if

there is a centre near your house and you don’t want to pay additional delivery charges or you

want to gift something to your loved once and surprise them, this is the best option a consumer

• Do you know ? Back in July 2012, Daraz initiated it’s operations in


Pakistan, they are the pioneers who supported the idea of online
shopping in Pakistan where our country was not evolving
technologicaly.
• It was difficult to set the market and concept of online shopping in
such country but with the time they have created their market as
well as Daraz.pk can be considered as a trend setter of online
shopping in Pakistan.
SOCIAL PROOF

• SOCIAL MEDIA ENGAGEMENT:


Daraz actively participates in on social media to interactwith it’s
customers. Recently they have launched the module of Live cricket
and football for their consumers and they are receiving a positive
response fro m consumers and there is an increase in the users of
application so that if an individual is using an app for watching
sports, it may look for products listed at Daraz during advertisement
break.

their consumer’s queries and problems right on time.

make a purchase. For example, they display a countdown timer on their product pages,
indicating that the product is available for a limited time only and they indicate the
term “Few Pieces left” on those products that have low sales.

• By implementing effective security measures, such as two-factor


authentication, OTP’S and data encryption, Daraz.pk can ensure that
customers feel safe and secure while shopping on their platform.
