influences from Chinese architecture, it has important
differences that characterize it.
Japanese architecture, called Nihon kenchiku , has as long
a history as the culture itself
Its evolution develops over time until at the end of the
16th century and the beginning of the 17th century,
based on the example of the Azuchi Castle that was
built by Oda Nobunaga , being the first to use stone as
a base, thus achieving a greater resistance.
Considering this origin of the sanctuaries, many
of these are found in mountains. One of them is
the Itsukushima Shrine in Miyajima , which has a
red-painted torii gate (typical of Japan), which
comes from the Torana gate.
