This document outlines the course content for the Mechanics of Deformable Bodies course taught over one semester. The course is divided into 11 units covering topics such as simple stress and strain, shear and bending moments in beams, stresses and deflections in beams, torsion, combined stresses, and axially loaded steel columns. Key textbooks are listed. The course meets for 5 hours per week over 18 weeks for a total of 90 contact hours. Each unit is allocated a certain number of weeks and hours to cover the associated topics and include examples and application problems.
