SUJAY C V
REQUIREMENT ANALYSIS:
• A multi-petabyte storage solution across different
workloads.
• Storage with growth estimation of 120% over the
next 2 years
• High performance is a required criteria for mission
critical workloads.
• For Non- mission critical workloads, requires cheap
archival storage solution which will be easy to
manage.
• High performance workloads need to have high
availability and backup/disaster recovery options.
SOLUTION DESIGN
With all the requirement analysis provided, the solution designed is:
• Requirement of MULTI-SCALE ON PREMISE and CLOUD STORAGE architecture
• Provided with a growth estimation of 120% over the next 2 years it is necessary to use Scale-out
architecture which allows you to exponentially grow to the increasing demand of the applications
• The Scale-up architecture is required to achieve higher performance stores mission critical data.
• Mission critical data is stored on ON-PREMISE to avoid breach of data and its backup is stored in
the Cloud storage to avoid loss of data in serious conditions.
• Cloud storage being customizable and efficient used store pictures, videos, 3D rendering and VFX
animation, editing and broadcasting, long term retention and other.

This is the best solution for the Company’s CEO for better return on the investment.
SOLUTION DEFENSE
• By using the MULTI-SCALE ON PREMISE and CLOUD STORAGE, the customer can
fulfill the requirements efficiently and better return on the investment.
• With the clear mention of the growth in next 2 years, the SCALE-OUT architecture is necessary
which allows you to exponentially grow to the increasing demand of the applications.
• Mission critical data which requires the better performance and higher security is stored on
the SCALE-UP, preferably providing higher and fast performance than scale-out.
• The backup of mission critical data is stored in cloud storage to prevent loss of data
• The Cloud offers reduced expenses and customizable business needs, the backup of mission
critical data is stored in the cloud.
• The pictures, videos, 3D rendering and VFX animation, editing and broadcasting, long term
retention and other is stored in Cloud as they require cheaper storage and easier to manage
provided with a good network.
• If there is any data loss of Mission critical data due to theft, human error, viruses, malware, or power failure.
Sometimes due to physical damage or mechanical failure or equipment of an edifice.
• The back-up of the data is available in the Cloud storage.
